I have just finished a watercolour of the glorious wild poppies that have seeded in my garden. They flower till midday then shed their petals leaving the sculptural seed heads to form. Intense colour and transparency are a joy to paint. You can see it under watercolours.
I have also recently done an oil painting of some treasured antique cutlery which I think looks great in it’s new frame.
Thought for today, a quote from William Morris. “Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful”.
My next project will be an oil painting of a lovely renaissance style dish with an Agapanthus flower. Watch this space…
