There is something about summer that is relaxing and contemplative, the heat is one thing of course, but also for me there is a natural break from classes and workshops, and the lovely exhibitions I take part in are over until the autumn. This means I can get on with my own projects and find some new images that just have to be painted. Being surrounded by burgeoning nature is uplifting and full of opportunities and ideas for new paintings, nature is such a beautiful designer!
Having had the pleasure of selling a few paintings means I have space for some new ones. So that is a good impetus to get on with the job. Which is very enjoyable and rewarding!
